Ross C. Cioppa, age 80, of Braddock Hills, passed away on Wednesday, September 15, 2021 at Shadyside Hospital. Beloved husband of Maureen Byrnes Cioppa; devoted father of Kristin M. Daniels and her husband, Gary of Harrisburg and Kevin M. Cioppa and his wife, Nicole of Cuyahoga Falls, OH; loving grandfather of Faith Marie and Reid Thomas Daniels; brother of Joseph Cioppa and his wife, Michelle, Victor and the late Louis and his surviving wife, Judy and Anthony Cioppa and his late wife, Clydella; brother-in-law of Anita Cioppa, Pam Cioppa, Patricia Byrnes and Sharon (Byrnes) Price and her husband, David; also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; son of the late Veto "Chip" and Rose (Margula) Cioppa. Ross was a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh with a BA in business and political science. He was a lifelong Pitt athletic fan and was a Pitt season ticket holder. Ross was an administrative assistant to the late Congressman, William Coyne, a former Magisterial District Justice in Rankin, PA, and a past Grand Knight and Charter Member of the Knights of Columbus, All Saints Council 6118 of Swissvale. He was a proud serviceman of the PA Army National Guard. Along with serving his country, Ross served in his community as a Board Member of the Swissvale School District and the President of the Swissvale Athletic Association, and he was the former Mayor of Braddock Hills. Ross was also a member of the St. Joseph the Worker Parish in Swissvale. Friends received Friday, 2:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the THOMAS L.
