Obituary of Anna Bisegna
ANNA MARIE "CARM" (DeROSA) BISEGNA
Passed away on Sunday, August 19, 2018, age 82, of Braddock Hills. She was the daughter of the late John and Justine (Veltre) DeRosa. Preceded in death by her beloved husband, Michael "Big Mike" Bisegna; her sister, Mary Jane D'Alesio; and her brother-in-law, Vincent "Jimmy" D'Alesio. Wonderful aunt of Pasquale D'Alesio and his wife, Sharon; John D'Alesio and his wife, Renee; and Theresa Headlee; loving great-aunt of Lauren Estermyer and her husband, Mark; Vincent; Michael; and Victor D'Alesio. "Everybody needs an Aunt Carm." Carm attended the University of Pittsburgh while working at Babcock Lumber, and received her Bachelor's degree in Education in 1976. She later obtained her Master's in Education, and Reading Certification. She used these to teach elementary grades in the Woodland Hills School District for many years. She retired from teaching in 1998 and is fondly remembered by all her students as "Mrs. B." Carm touched the lives of many and will be missed by all who knew her. Friends received 2-8 p.m. THURSDAY ONLY at the THOMAS L. NIED FUNERAL HOME, INC., 7441 Washington St., Swissvale. Mass of Christian Burial in the Madonna del Castello Roman Catholic Church, on Friday morning at 9:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank or the Westmoreland County Food Bank.
