Obituary of Danielle Korpiel

DANIELLE EDGAR KORPIEL

Entered into glory on January 30, 2019 at the age of 45. Danielle will be forever remembered by her loving and devoted husband, John; her parents, John and Carol Edgar; her best friend, Ravisha Mathur; her affectionate and loyal sisters, Nicole (Bob) and Amanda (George); and her brother Robert (Jessica). She was the favorite and cherished aunt to Caden, Brayden, Brendan, Simon, Kellen, Eilidh, Kaylie, Lily, Wesley, Mhairi, and Kieran. Danielle grew up on Tuscarora Street in Point Breeze. She attended Geneva College and graduated with honors with a BS in Nursing from the University of Rochester. She enjoyed working at East Liberty Family Health Care Center. Despite her persistent health challenges, she was undeterred in her devotion to her Savior Jesus Christ, her family, and her dedication to encourage and support the people she loved, even if it meant trekking to the former Soviet Union, North Dakota, or a regional spelling bee in Akron, OH. Danielle was famous as the world's most fantastic dog mom, keeping Teddy and Pablo pampered in a life of luxury. Danielle will always be remembered for her generous and feisty spirit, her ability to make friends anywhere and everywhere, her vibrant and lively personality, her thoughtful and sacrificial character, and her determined, undaunted will. A visitation will be held on Monday, February 4 and Tuesday, February 5 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at THOMAS L. NIED FUNERAL HOME in Swissvale, PA. A memorial service will be held at Covenant Fellowship Reformed Presbyterian Church in Wilkinsburg, PA on Saturday, February 16 at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, Danielle requested donations to Pittsburgh Urban Christian School (PUCS) in Wilkinsburg, PA
